What's the Skinny?

Before we released our new styles, we were often faced with two questions from consumers. First, was it possible to make the SmartPocket more discrete? We answered this with our Fitz style for men (available in medium-light and medium washes), and Lady Mary style for women (available in light, medium & dark washes), which you can read about in our past blog post, "How Cool Are Our Hidden Pockets?"

The other question that we were asked often was whether our brand would ever make a skinny jean. Today, we're going to show and tell you about every style of skinny jean that we now offer!

The Mac Skinny Leg

Don't panic, manly men! You can still pull off the trend of skinny jeans without cutting off your circulation. Our Mac Skinnies sit high on the hip and are relaxed through the hip and thigh, giving you room to breathe, while still fitting snuggly around your ankles, and giving off a more "put together" look than their boot cut counterparts. These feature a 7" flat leg opening, and their fit has been compared to the "511" style of men's Levi's. These jeans feature the 5 pockets you're used to in jeans, plus our original SmartPockets to give you the original 7-pocket denim. Our SmartPockets are 6.25" long and 4" wide, the perfect size for most smartphones and wallets.
The Mac Skinny Leg style is perfect for drawing attention to your shoes, and for putting together a tailored, more streamlined look. They are available in several different washes, to match any outfit or setting. The Lady Mac Skinny Leg

Cheers, ladies! The skinny jeans you've been asking for have finally arrived, and just in time for boots season. Pair these with your favorite sweater and boots for an instantly Pinterest-approved autumn outfit. Unlike the skinny jeans that you already own, you can wear these out to concerts, athletic events, dinner, or nights on the town without having to worry about packing all of your essentials into your tiny purse. These feature a low-mid rise fit at the waist, run straight through the hips and thighs, and end in an 11" leg opening. This style has been compared in fit to Lucky's "Charlie with Skinny Leg" style. Our black, dark, and medium washes combined with the skinny leg make it easy to dress up for casual Friday at work, and we guarantee that you'll be comfortable in them all day long (we can't speak for the stilettos you pair with them, though!) The Skinny Mary

For this style, we combined the skinny leg with the hidden pocket for the chicest of chic looks. The hidden SmartPocket will still ensure that your smartphone is still at arm's length, but no one will ever have to know! These fit the same as The Lady Mac skinnies featured above, with a low-mid rise fit at the waist and 11" leg openings. (Also comparable to Lucky's "Charlie with Skinny Leg"). These are ideal for a woman that knows what she likes, but can be swayed to try new things. The hidden pockets draw no extra attention to the thigh area (even with the phone in them, from what we've found), so you can rest assured that we've got your best look in mind. These are ideal for the girl-on-the-go that wants to look her best, but also stay connected to the world no matter where she is. They're perfect for traveling, and can pull any outfit together. These go well with boots, wedges, flats, heels, ballet flats, and even look adorable tucked into rain boots when the weather is less-than-beautiful. The Fitz

The same great fit as the Mac Skinny Leg, but with hidden SmartPockets (learn more about them here!)-- No worries though, the pocket might not be visible to the rest of the world, but you'll be able to fit just as many necessities into them all the same! Keys? Got 'em. Wallet? Don't be that guy and forget it. Phone? Of course. You're all set for wherever your day takes you! Currently, we've seen lots of guys pairing Converse All-Stars or moccasins with their skinnies for a more casual look, or a nicer pair of Clarks or narrow loafers for a more dressed-up occasion. These too, sit high on the waist and are relaxed through the hip and thighs, with 7" skinny flat leg openings. They'll also be comparable to Levi's "511" style. They're available in medium and medium-light washes, both of which can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. Their fit is relaxed enough for the guy that was formerly on the fence about skinnies, but tight enough around the ankles to make sure he's right on-trend. The Zipper (Men's)

Looking for a unique addition to your closet that you can wear throughout the transitioning seasons? These grey skinny jeans are exactly what you're looking for! With the same fit as the Fitz and the Mac Skinny Leg, these sit high on the waist and are relaxed through the hip and thighs, featuring 7" skinny flat leg openings. Be warned: the wash on these is so great that you'll be asked repeatedly where they are from. Grey is a neutral, so it will go with countless outfits, but it's also not a color that is often seen in jeans, making you stand out in the crowd. Mix it with blacks, whites, and other variations of grey to get the perfect urban look, or add a touch of color for contrast. These also feature hidden SmartPockets, so your look will always be streamlined. One of the back pockets is zippered, giving you just a touch of edge to play up or down as you please. How Cool Are Our Hidden Pockets?

You've read our post about all of our new styles, but we've decided to highlight each of the new styles we've created so that you can get a more in-depth view of which might be best for you. 


Our first highlight? The ever-so-popular "hidden-pocket" styles that feature besom "Smartpockets." No worries--even though they aren't as visible, each smartpocket is still 6.25" long & 4" wide--the perfect size for your smartphone (even the iPhone 6!), keys, wallet, and so much more. 

 For men, we created The Fitz. This is the ideal jean for the man that loves the idea & functionality of Smartpockets, but is seeking a sleeker look. The subtle besom pockets will allow you the same easy access to your smartphone as our original Mac designs, but only you will know that they are there! These jeans are skinny, which are trending for men this season, but the pocket allows you the same great look of other skinny jeans, without bending your iPhone, or having to dig to retrieve it. This style sits high on the hips, runs relaxed through the hip and thigh, and features a 7" skinny flat leg opening.

We've received tons of great compliments on this new feature, as it allows you to keep your phone at arm's reach, without the entire world knowing that it's there. It goes hand-in-hand with the skinny & straight legged jean trend of creating streamlined silhouettes, and creating the illusion of longer legs. They have the same look of the five-pocket denim that you're used to, but are actually our original seven-pocket jeans!




For women, we've created "The Lady Mary." The compliments from women that have purchased these jeans have come pouring in, with the main excitement being that the hidden pockets don't draw attention to their thighs, but still allow them easy access to their phones! We hear you loud and clear! We also love that these are straight leg, which go with virtually any shoe you want to wear, and look great both cuffed and uncuffed! These are the perfect pair for you if you'd like a smooth look & elongated lines. They also transition perfectly from work-casual to a night on the town. This style has a lower-mid rise, runs straight through the hips and thighs, and features a 14" leg opening. They are available in our new light wash, our classic medium wash, and our new dark wash. 

No matter your style, The Fitz & The Lady Mary are great additions to your wardrobe, especially if you want the look of five-pocket denim with the benefits that come with our Smartpockets. New Season, New Styles!

Technology isn't the only thing going through major upgrades-- we're officially revealing all of the details on our new styles, which are now available on our website! 

Read up on which one might fit your lifestyle the best, but have no worries-- every pair still features the Smartpockets that our jeans were built around. 6.25" long and 4" wide, these allow you the freedom of keeping your Smartphone, wallet, keys, lipgloss, cash, credit cards, concert/game day tickets, and so much more at exactly arm's length.

"The Lady Mary"-  Straight Leg + Hidden Pocket

Warning: wearing this style will result in multiple inquiries a day asking "what brand are you wearing?" These provide a straight leg that is perfectly on trend to wear with almost any shoe, from wedges to ballet flats. Wear them cuffed with booties, or create an elongated line when you leave them uncuffed. These too, include our new hidden pockets, which offer a smooth look and feel. This is a lower-mid rise style, which is straight through the hips and thighs, with a 14" leg opening. "The Mac Bootcut" -Men's

Skinny jeans not your thing? No worry. They aren't the right fit for every man, but we have options for everyone. Our bootcut fit offers a looser fit all the way down. This style sits high on the hips, and is relaxed through the hip and thigh with a 19" straight flat leg opening. Like their namesake, these look great paired with boots, and are offered in a range of washes, all of which look great any time of year. You asked for it, and we heard you loud and clear! Skinny jeans are here, but unlike the ones hanging in your closet, you can wear these out on a Friday night and keep all of your essentials right where you can reach them! (How much can you really fit into that tiny clutch, anyway?And aren't you tired of digging in that huge purse you lug to the bar?) This style offers a lower-mid rise fit at the waist, a straight fit through the hips and thighs, and an 11" leg opening. Listed as the #1 denim trend for fall 2014 by Bustle, this cut is perfect for those "more inclined to a streamlined look," and as with the straight legged "Lady Mary," these look amazing paired with all kinds of shoes. They show the perfect amount of curve, while also leaving your silhouette with long lines (PSA: short girls--they elongate!) This style has a lower-mid rise, runs straight through the hips and thighs, and has a 14" leg opening. "The Mac Straight Leg"

Not quite a boot cut guy, but also not a skinny jeans guy either? You, sir, have found your perfect pair. The Mac Straight leg sits high on the hips, has a relaxed fit through the hips and thigh, and has 9.5" straight flat leg openings. Because they land right in the middle, they can be paired with pretty much any shoe you want to throw with them. These are pretty much guaranteed to never go out of style, and can transition from a casual Friday work outfit to a night on the town easily. "The Zipper" - Grey Skinny Men's + Zippered Pockets

Do you want your next pair of jeans to be unique and different? That's what we had in mind when designing "The Zipper" style. With regular Smartpockets on the front, the back pockets sport zippers & dark stitching. The skinny style will look great with virtually any top, and the grey wash is the perfect color of denim to add to your fall/winter wardrobe. This style sits high on the hips, has a relaxed fit through the hip and thigh, and has 7" skinny flat leg openings. "The Mac Skinny Leg"

Skinny jeans aren't just for the ladies. Though skinny men's jeans have been "in" for quite some time, this new cut by JLeer looks great dressed up with laced up loafers or driving shoes (don't forget some awesome socks!) or dressed down with Converse All-Stars. These jeans will give your silhouette a put-together tailored look, without you even having to give a it a second thought. This style sits high on the hips, has a relaxed fit through the hip and thigh, and a 7" skinny flat leg opening. This fit is similar to the "511" style of men's Levi's.
