Wishing You Smooth & Stylish Travels

The holidays are on the horizon, but before we can enjoy the delicious meals, beautifully decorated houses, and time off from work to be with our families, most of us have to head to airports or pack up our cars for a long day of travel. Traveling can be stressful--we've all been there. Between the layovers, the traffic jams, the lines to get through security, and the bickering kids in the back seat, just getting to your destination without having a meltdown could be considered a Christmas miracle.

If you've ever travelled, you probably are more than familiar with these annoying travelers:

Mrs. "I Take an Hour at Security When There is Only One Line Open": No matter how many times she's flown, or how well the TSA instructional posters are worded, she still can't seem to remember to take her phone out of her pocket or her laptop out of her bag. No matter how innocent she looks, she will require the attention of every officer on duty, doubling your time in line. If you're caught behind her, we're so sorry.

Mr. "Elbow to Your Face While Trying to Remove His Wallet" Guy: He's had a long day too, and all that he wants is an overpriced snack or beverage from the flight attendant. Little Miss & Mr. "I Haven't Had a Nap Today, So I'm Going to be Cranky and Fight with my Sibling(s)": These little ones are angels 90% of the time--you swear! October has always been associated with black and orange, monsters and ghouls, and lots of other scary creatures that hide in the night. We used to worry mostly about what costume we would wear, or what pattern we should carve into our pumpkins—all activities we certainly still take part in and associate with the month, but if you see an abundance of pink throughout the month, do you associate it with something in particular?

Probably.

October has become linked with breast cancer awareness, and it’s no wonder that so many people have decided it an important cause to take part in, because ONE IN EIGHT women will develop invasive breast cancer at some point in her lifetime. No wonder pink has become associated with October! Breast cancer is one of the scariest monsters that could be hiding around the corner. 

•   For women in the U.S., breast cancer rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.
•   In 2014, there are more than 2.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S.
•  Breast cancer risk doubles if a woman has a first-degree relative with breast cancer, but 85% of all new cases are from women with no genetic link
• Men can also develop breast cancer (2,360 new cases this year)
•  People of both genders and all races are at risk (though some seemingly more than others)—breast cancer doesn’t discriminate!

It was only a matter of time before the monstrosity known as the iPhone 6 Plus started causing problems. Today, word is getting out that the 5.5-inch phone may be vulnerable to unplanned situational curvature.
In other words, the phones are bending, and they're not supposed to bend. They bend because people are putting them in their pockets, then sitting down, which is a reasonable thing to do. Call it Apple's #Bendghazi, if you will. Or #Bendgate.
MacRumors highlighted the following forum post from a new iPhone 6 Plus owner:


"Yesterday, I left at 10am with the iPhone in my left FRONT pocket of my suit pants. I drove 4 hours to a wedding, which also involved a lot of sitting during dinner etc but also 2-3 hours of dancing. I left at 2am and went to bed, driving home 4 hours back.
So in total, the 6 Plus was about 18 hours in my pocket while sitting mostly.
As I lay it on the coffee table and sat down on the couch to relax from the drive (yes, sitting again ), I saw the reflection of the window in the iPhones slightly distorted.
